Kompleat Kitten Katchup

Sorry, my alliteration ran away with me.

The Mattress of Pete

As you can see, the kittens are well in charge. Here we have a prime example of finding the softest thing around, and going to sleep on it. Like all children, they take advantage whenever they can.

Such an imposition! Shocking. Shouldn’t be allowed. Look how distressed I am in this photo…

“Going to sleep” is a regular thing, naturally. Now they’ve acclimated to the house, and they have a safe place to retreat to, we’ve let the kittens out into the rest of the house. That’s great fun! They charge all over the place, chasing one another, leaping, climbing…they’re already getting onto tabletops and up shelves. For such tiny creatures, they leap amazing distances. And anything their claws can penetrate is a means of getting even higher. Which is then used to leap down on an unsuspecting sibling, of course.

And everything is a toy; especially my glasses and mobile phone for some reason. Although about the only thing they do with the phone is sit on it. But Quinn has used his nose to make images on the screen flick about a bit. Thankfully he hasn’t managed to figure out how to dial out yet or the bill from Amazon for new cat toys might be a nasty surprise!

Both kittens have settled in very well, although they didn’t enjoy their first trip to the vet, or the anti-parasite treatment we gave them after. Quinn struggled and yowled, but Nyssa went completely berko! It was such a trauma that she apparently used up all her energy because she slept for five hours. I was worried I’d hurt her, but she was absolutely fine the next day, and she now enjoys online gaming as much as me!

She seems pleased when the character on screen changes into cat form. But she’s especially excited when my character is in bird form, flying about flapping enormous wings. She can’t resist the temptation to catch that birdy!

It’s important for best buds to share their interests, don’t you think?

Oh, one last thing. Toilet training? Done!
